ESL has disclosed the names of the 24 teams invited to participate in the Challenge Season of the Snapdragon Pro Series 2024 for Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). The tournament, boasting a substantial prize pool of ₹1 crore, spans two months from December 18, 2023, to February 18, 2024. The Challenge Season, occurring from January 12 to February 4, involves a total of 32 teams, with eight teams having already qualified from the Conquest Open Finals on January 6 and 7.
The 24 invited teams for the Challenge Season include prominent names such as Chemin Esports, Entity Gaming, Team Soul, Team 8Bit, and Global Esports, among others. These teams will compete in a round-robin format, divided into four groups, over four weekends, featuring a total of 72 matches. The top 16 teams from this stage will proceed to the Grand Finals.
Additionally, the eight squads that secured their spots through the Open Finals are Reckoning Esports, Skull TZ Esports, Wingod Esports, 4 Aggressive Man, Team Aaru, Team Prince, 4Shot Esports, and Team Together Esports (replacing Team Insane, which was disqualified for rule violations).
Team Soul, a renowned team in the BGMI scene, has recently acquired former Blind Esports players, who were champions of BMPS 2023. Blind Esports and Gods Reign are expected to unveil their new lineups soon. Team Omega, formerly associated with Team Soul, will reveal its new organization shortly.
The BGMI Snapdragon Pro Series serves as a platform for popular teams to showcase their revamped lineups. Ahead of the tournament, Team XSpark has included NinjaJod in its roster.
